Where are you located?

I'm located in beautiful Raleigh, North Carolina. I travel to surrounding cities, including Cary, Durham, Fuquay, Wake Forest, Knightdale, Morrisville, and several other areas!

What kind of training services do you offer?

Training programs might include Training Camp (board & train), private lessons, group classes with partnering trainers in the area, and client-only adventure outings (like off leash hiking, and paddleboarding with your pups!). Training programs are available for dogs of all breeds and ages.

Can you help my dog?

I work with a variety of behavioral needs, including puppy raising & development, adolescent "naughty" dog struggles, anxiety, reactivity, hyperactivity, manners, and even aggression. If I don't feel that I can effectively help you and your dog... I'll refer you to someone who I believe can. Because at the end of the day, YOUR success is what matters most.

I've tried other trainers before. How do I know it will work this time?

You don't. That's the most to the point, honest answer I can give you. What I CAN promise though... is that trying the same things will only give you the same results. The training class that you took with your puppy might not have focused on what you actually needed. Your other training course may not have given you enough support. Or, in some cases, your life may have been too busy and chaotic (it happens to all of us!) to be able to fully implement training.

So how do I know what I need?

Schedule a consultation! Get help diagnosing the issue, have a chance to ask more in depth questions about YOUR dog or puppy. Get a quick demo to show you an example of some exercises we might use, and go in depth with me about potential training gameplans. Have kids and a demanding job? You need a different training gameplan than someone who doesn't have kids, or someone who is a stay at home mom, or someone who is single living in an apartment. Knowing what you need is very much an individual thing, and I don't want to put you into a cookie cutter.

Why do you charge so much... or so little?

Depending on your personal situation, my rates may either appear really high... or maybe even really low. The bottom line though, is that you deserve for me to give you my best. That means that I am constantly reinvesting into my curriculum content, to make training more effective. I'm constantly reinvesting into my education, to make sure that you're getting a professional who cares about improving their skillset ALWAYS. I'm constantly reinvesting into IMPROVEMENT. So that I can deliver my very best to you.

Where did you learn to train dogs?

Several years ago, I "accidentally" found my way into the animal rescue community. Between that, and owning my own personal dogs, I gained invaluable experience.

For years I fostered dogs from rescues. Puppies, older dogs, dogs with a bite history, scared dogs, dogs who were absolutely wound up, dogs who didn't like other dogs. And while I filled my plate with volunteer work for the local rescues and shelters, I worked full time with dogs professionally as well.

The first training facility that I worked for, specialized in aggression and socialization, after that, I worked in and managed grooming salons, dog daycares, boarding facilities, volunteered at veterinary clinics, did behavior evaluations and training for the shelter dogs and shelter staff, and hosted classes and training for adopters and dog owners.

I've participated in dog training workshops covering reactivity, aggression, puppy development, ENS, obedience, shaping emotional responses, among others!

To this day, I'm still attending workshops, seminars, conferences, and improving my training skills and knowledge in behavior science. Some of the most influential and inspirational trainers for me include: Mark McCabe, Chad Mackin, Jay Jack, Brittany & Chris Brauer, Bethany & Al Tracy, Larry Krohn... and way too many others to list! There are so many caring, phenomenal trainers, who put dog and owner support and welfare first.
